just keep swimming, just keep swimming, swimming!

reese & bentley waiting to get in

i took reese swimming for the first time this week. seriously, i can't believe this was his first time. but since it has been raining like everyday for the last two months, it kind of had to be that way.
we went to jenn's parent's pool.

check out that rockin' life vest

me and reeser

he was a little fish! HE LOVED THE WATER! he kicked and kicked and loved splashing. when he had on the life vest i laid him back and he would squeeze his eyes shut and kick... he loves the bath a lot so i ma not surprised that he liked the pool just as much. cute little stinker.

south ogden days

us at josh gracin on saturday night!
gotta love a free concert!

since this is our first year as home owners we participated a lot this week in south ogden days. we had a really good time. we went to the josh gracin concert and fire works on saturday with brad's family. while we were there we ran into boualay, mirko and nina. so they moved their blanket and came and sat by us. it was really fun. reese liked staying up late and eating a bite or two of doritos and cotton candy. he was a very good boy and went to sleep and slept in his stroller until we went home.

earlier in the week we went to the parade. us and a bunch of our neighbors walked over to the park and collected the candy that was scattered everywhere. there were a few floats and lots of water. it was fun taking reese to all this stuff because he hasn't ever seen or heard any of the stuff. he reacted really well to all the fire engines and sirens. just checking everything out.

this was the boy scout truck. this guy that let us sit on his lawn had his hose and was squirting all of the floats (because they were squirting the crowd) and this boy scout guy got so ticked off at him. it was kind of funny. in this pic is nina, boualay, alyssa, amy, and ahmree.

williams fam, roses, cheese...

look at our pretty roses! isn't brad about the best photographer! i mean it looks pro!

i have NEVER seen a CHEEZIER smile from this boy! i LOVE IT!

this week all of my aunts and uncles came to my mom's for a visit. reese was a total ham for all the attention. it was so fun to see all of them. they are all very near and dear to my heart. uncle vern is at the top, then my mom, aunt carolyn, aunt markaye and aunt darlene.
uncle vern & aunt patty: i love you guys! they lived here when i was a little one and they always say i was their first grandchild. it was so fun spending time with them. uncle vern is such a tease! and aunt patty is a about as sweet as can be. when i was little they always gave me skittles, DQ ice cream and took me for rides in the car. uncle vern would bite off the bottom of my cone so i had to eat the ice cream fast!

mom & dad: are the best! they watch reese three times a week and help us out all the time. they always feed us and give us food and stuff we need. i have awesome parents!

uncle claud & aunt carolyn: she is the matriarch of the family, she always has a good book to read and say's "ya" like the germans do, "ja!" i love it!

aunt darlene & brent: she is the sewer and traveler in the family. aunt darlene always has open arms and an open house. she is a snow bird and very crafty. i love her.

aunt markaye & uncle jack: auntie is the one with all the taste! she loves the babies so much and tells you every chance she gets. she makes everyone feel so special, seriously! love her!

reese's first tooth!

reese just keeps growing like a weed. he is such a good boy too! on june 10 i noticed he was doing this:sucking on his tongue. he had been a little ornery lately but i didn't think too much of it until i felt a TOOTH there! it is his lower left incisor. he has been sucking on his tongue ever since.

7 minutes in heaven... i mean months..

relay for life

we know lots of people who have had cancer in the last couple of years. my dad, bryce, george, and jenn's mom vicki. so this year we went to the relay for life to support our loved ones. i got a rockin' hoodie that says "save the ta ta's" seriously so funny! it kicked off with a harley ride and meeting the jazz bear. we hung around for a while and bryce and sally announced that they are expecting a little one in january! congrats to them! we love our all of our cancer survivors and are so grateful that they have all been able to beat it!

reese is seven months old! actually seven and a half! he is a big boy and weighs 22lbs. we love our little man so much. here are some of his accomplishment as of late:

-he knows his name
-shakes his head when you say, "no,no,no..." (i want to put a video on but i can't ever get it to work)
-turns away if he doesn't want to be held by you
-sneezes and spits up without spitting his plug out
-LOVES his giraffe
-doesn't like to be left alone, he fake cries
-fake coughs if he wants a drink
-always holds his own bottle, even if it's right before bed
-knows how to jump and spin all the way around in his jumperoo
-loves to feed himself graham crackers

this day reese did NOT want to go to sleep, so he got to take a nap with daddy on the couch.

another crazy thing happened this week. i went to drop reese off at my mom and dad's house on thursday on my way to work and my dad was acting a little funny. i asked him what was wrong and he said he just felt dizzy. so i helped him get to his chair in the back room and he started to slur his words and couldn't talk very well. i was getting a little worried so i went and woke up my mom and told her to get in there with me. the day before he had went and got another bladder biopsy done so i thought maybe he had some sort of side effect from that. in a few minutes his eyes started to roll, so we got on the phone with the doctor that had done his biopsy the day before and he told me to call 911. it was so totally freaky! the ambulance got there really fast and took him off to mckay dee hospital. my mom and i rushed out there and got into his room and they did all kinds of tests and things. turns out he hadn't had a stroke or anything like that, but he was completely dehydrated and had taken some pills that were not supposed to be mixed. it was so scary, but it was such a relief that it wasn't something more serious.. i think from now on i will drink water like crazy, i don't want to go through all of that ever! so they released him from the hospital that afternoon and all is well. i saw him today and he was MUCH, MUCH BETTER. thank goodness.

and while i am writing i might as well make this post even longer! brad won off the radio an over night stay for us to go to the homestead resort, golf for two and dinner! so i think we will take ourselves a mini vaca soon... we need it! =)
