It is Official

i went to the doctor yesterday and had my first ultrasound. There is definately a baby in there, but we found out it's only about seven weeks old, not nine like we thought. brad took off work and came with me and we ended up waiting about an hour before we even got called back. they said that they had to do an emergency ultrasound, and then the doctor was only with us for a few minutes cause she had to go deliver a baby. it just looks like a little smudge on the picutre but according to my family (who was reading a baby book) it already has tooth buds, even though it is only about a centimeter. so we went and stopped by brad's mom's work and showed her our pictures, she seemed pretty excited. My family was over the top as usual. i went home and took a much needed nap while brad chilled out and watched tv. it was a good day. oh yeah, so the official due date as of now is November 11. Maybe it will be born on Nicole, Mikey, Corlin or Tanner's birthday, who knows?

The Big News!

If you know me you know i CAN'T keep a secret, so here I am spilling the beans about our little black bean! Yep, we are pregnant! and due on October 28 which just happens to be my mom's birthday! We are pretty excited and i am just a little scared! To tell our families we wrapped up little gift boxes with binkys in them and gave them to our moms. My family had quite the major reaction with all of my sisters screaming and parents crying, it was really exactly how i expected them to react. Brad's family was a little more reserved, and before sally even saw the pacifier yelled, "you're pregnant!" lots of hugs that day.

it's going to be really great because lots of people that i am close to are pregnant, two of my best friends and sally. i am really glad cause i am going to need some serious support!

The other great news, is that Brad got a really good job offered to him last friday. It's for a company called ABM, and he is a supervisor! The awesome thing about it is that he gets to use a company car and gets a visa card for gas! It also just bought out another company and is going to start expanding, so brad could get a promotion very quickly! i am so proud of brad and grateful for all that he does for me.

well sort of. i accidentally got some stupid picture stuck in my header, so i had to redo my blog! luckily i haven't written much so it wasn't too hard! thank goodness. unfortunately all the comments got deleted! dang it! i am really proud of myself though cause i figured out how to get a real template. When i was in high school, amber and i got in the habit of stealing all the books that we had to read in english, this one is my favorite, stolen when i was a senior.

Speaking of stolen books, i just read this a couple of months ago and i absolutely adored it. it is about a little girl who lives in nazi germany and is narrated by death. i think right now it is my all time favorite.

so lately at work we have been watching movies at lunch. last week we watched how to lose a guy in ten days. This week we have moved onto the television series The O.C. we started season one on monday and all of us are totally obsessed! Jen especially is in love with the character Ryan. ;) . i totally remember jill asking me if i watched back in the day when we both lived in ogden, and i was really wishing i did, now's my time for the WONDERFUL TEENAGE CALIFORNIA DRAMA!"

1. Where did you meet your husband? On a blind date, thanks to one of my very best friends jill. They both worked at ogden clinic and jill insisted i go out with him, and we have been attached ever since.

Spring is Here??? 03.02.08

on friday it was on it's way to sixty degrees, and we were all dying of heat, but not for long. yesterday it decided to snow again and i just thought the budding trees looked so pretty with the snow on them.

Holly Comes to Utah 03.02.08

so a couple of weeks ago my good friend holly came to park city with her boyfriend to go skiing. we were best friends in ninth grade, when she moved to virginia with her family. we have kept in pretty good contact over the years and it was so much fun to see her. we met her and her boyfriend brett at the mayan in salt lake, and it was a crazy night! it had snowed so hard that it took over two hours for us to make it, but we did and had a great dinner and caught up. it was so fun! and the best part of the night was holly showing us her gorgeous ring that brett had given her when he was here. they are getting married! CONGRATULATIONS! hopefully we will be able to come out for the wedding!

The Big Rotten Apple 02.12.08

In May we decided to take a trip to the big apple!

Debbie is moving here and we figured we might as well go see the city while she still lived there. We had an awesome time. We spent a couple of days in the city, we went to a mets game, we went shopping like mad and ate dessert every night!

ok so here it goes.. i just decided to start us a blog, and i really don't have much to write. but i figure i need to get the hang of it sooner or later. i guess i have blogged before by having an online journal and the usual myspace and facebook account, but i wanted to do this so that it would be a little more personal. hopefully brad will want to get on here and post once in a while too. :)
